  It was great. Other than a bit of an awkward floorplan in this house (you have to walk through the main upstairs bathroom to get to a bedroom beyond it) it is really great for a large family like ours.

  This is the second year in a row we have rented this house; it is very accommodating for our larger family. It's definitely a quirky beach house, the plumbing is old and needs to be babied, but the house as a whole works for us. What is the biggest selling point is the large fenced patio. We have 5 grandchildren under 3 years old, and to have that open space for them to scooter, ride bikes and play was invaluable.

  While this home's floor plan is obviously unusual, the reality is that having six bedrooms and 3.5 baths with a fabulous (unparalleled?) patio makes this property the best for a large family like ours. A real plus is the number of A/C units in the house - it was quite warm during the latter days of our stay and the A/C worked like a charm. Second stay at 331 and we will likely return again next year.

  We rented the home for 5 days with another couple and enjoyed our stay. It is very large and we could have easily had two more couples and children join us. The home is well equipped with all you need to make your stay enjoyable. Remember to bring a bar of soap, if you need it, as they only provide liquid soap. There currently is a construction site next door, so you may want to check prior, to see if they are finished.

  Our family of 12 greatly enjoyed our stay at 331 Crystal the first full week of July. This house is perfect for a large group and embodies classic "old Bal Isle" charm. While the floorplan is a bit unusual, it worked just fine for us and of course its oversized front patio was a huge plus - perfect for the younger ones to play, great for all of us to dine al fresco. Overall, a great week on the Little Island.

  We rented this house because of the number of bedrooms. We had many friends coming in from all over the nation for our daughter's wedding. The best part of the house - hand's down - is the great patio and outdoor living space. The only thing that I wish I knew ahead of time was that in order to get to one of the bedrooms, you have to walk through a bathroom. This wouldn't be bad if that bathroom wasn't the bathroom used by 3 other bedrooms. It took a little bit of coordination by my guests, and a lot of door knocking, to figure out when the people staying in the front bedroom could leave their room without interrupting someone in the bathroom. A lock on the door from the bathroom side would have solved the problem. Other than that - it was perfect!

  My family spent 2 weeks here in July and truly enjoyed the ease of the small island and closeness to restaurants, shops and the bay beaches. The home was well stocked, clean and spacious for an island home. The yard is uniquely large for the island, and we easily sat 12+ people for dinner every evening outside. Perfect for large families! Just be sure to stop the noise by 10pm, otherwise you'll meet the neighbors quickly. A lovely home, and a great location! Highly recommended!

  We had a great vacation on Balboa Island and our vacation home at 331 Crystral was a great part of the vaction. The house was roomy for all of us and a well equiped kitchen. We ate our dinners out on the patio every night and that was lots of fun. Unfortnately we used the heaters for comfort but that was mother natures doing. We enjoyed the week and it was over too soon.

  We thoroughly enjoyed our week at 331 Crystal. We were worried about not being close to the bay or having a view, but that concern was immediately replaced by the time spent sitting in the lovely (heated!) outdoor living room and patio area, where we spent most of our time. The bay is just steps away for kayaking and paddle boarding. Amy at Abrams and the owner of the property worked very quickly to fix a minor repair; and the house, though old, is unbelievably charming and well-kept. Very comfortable beds. We can't wait to come back to this quiet haven on Little Island!

  We had a great time in this very comfortable and nice home. Walking distance to the ferry (beach), village (restaurants and shops). Abrams management very pleasant to work with. In winter time, with cooler temperatures, house needs some extra heaters, nice fire place, no central heat.
