  This was our third year staying at this location, which in itself shows how much we love 212 Garnet! Our family of 9 (ages 2-70) have found the house well maintained, beautifully decorated and spacious enough for everyone to spread out when needed. The kitchen has everything a person needs to cook simply or fix a gourmet meal. Garnet street is at the quiet end of balboa so the grandchildren can ride their bikes, etc in the street, but we are close enough to the Main Street to walk downtown for the world famous "Balboa Bar". The ferry ride to the peninsula is a must. Fifty cents one way! Our favorite activity is renting an electric boat and cruising around the harbor.

  This was our second year at 212 Garnet. It was like coming home. We even found the book that we accidentally left last year. We had 3 grandchildren staying with us ages 2, 2 1/2 and 5. They enjoyed going to the beach which was a very short walk from the house. Taking the ferry across to the peninsula was another thing that we all enjoyed and we could either walk or drive onto the ferry.
  The only complaint that any of the 9 of us had was the heat, but that isn't the fault of the property. I would suggest you bring fans if you are staying here during the summer/fall months.

  We recently stayed for the second time at this lovely vacation rental. It is a well-kept, well-stocked home and is far nicer than others we have rented in the past. The location is great....about five houses to the water and a short walk to the main street but on a quiet street. There are two kitchens and sitting rooms which allows for some privacy for two families vacationing together. Both the owner and Abrams Realty were very accommodating. We intend to make this rental an annual event.

The home was a short walk to the water and a good walk to town. Balboa is a very friendly island. With a lot to do. The home is located in a quieter section of Balboa. Great place to be.   The house was well furnished and we liked the nautical decor. It was also very spacious. The only drawbacks were the small roof deck, which didn't have any view and the location on Balboa Island. It usually takes 5 minutes to get to and from the bridge, which can make it time consuming if you are doing lots of excursions away from Newport Beach.

  The weather was beautiful for the two weeks in June. Hunter was very helpful in extending our stay an extra week and negotiating a favorable rate for us with the owner. It was a fantastic property that housed our family very comfortably and we would definitely stay at 212 Garnet again. The neighbors were also very nice.   Our stay at 212 Garnet was wonderful. It exceeded our expectations with comforts and location. The home was very comfortable and tastefully decorated, the kitchen was completely equipped, there wasn't anything that I looked for that I didn't find!
  We had the impression we had to bring our own towels and sheets, but the home had sheets and towels to use as long as you are willing to do the laundry before you leave. The washer and dryer were very convenient.
  The garage was nice, but if your renting a car don't get a large SUV, it just can't maneuver the small alley behind the house or the garage! We had a MB 450 GL and it just fit in the garage, by inches!
  We had family members from 80 to 25 and it was perfect for everyone. The exterior living spaces were important for everyone to have their own down time!
  Jarrod at Abrams Coastal was very responsive and professional to work with and I would call him again.
  You can't go wrong when renting this home, it is home away from home....just wonderful!
  We hope to be back to Balboa Island next year!
