3 bedroom upper unit Beach cottage on the North Bayfront with great views, just steps to the Beach and Boardwalk. Located around the corner from Marine Avenue's shops and restaurants. The master bedroom has a queen bed with adjoining 3/4 bath. Of the remaining bedrooms, one has a queen bed and the other has two twins. The second bath is a full and located in the hall by the bedrooms. Recent upgrades include new kitchen flooring, refrigerator, dishwasher, and carpet. The living room offers a fireplace, TV/DVD, fully stocked kitchen with dining area, one-car garage space, and shared laundry. Small outdoor space with BBQ, cafe table + chairs, and the joy of being only a few steps away from the sand to sink your toes into!

WEEKLY: $1,750—$3,500 • MONTHLY OFF-SEASON: $4,000

  Overall this is a good unit. We had family in both the upper and the lower units. Good location with quick access to the main street shops and restaurants. Also on north bayfront water so easy access there too. A couple of drawbacks...if you don't know the group in the lower unit you don't have a patio, and a lot people (cars, bikes, walkers) use the alley right behind the house to get to other streets on the island so it can be pretty noisy. Inside the unit is nice and had the essentials.

  Really enjoyed our family vacation on the Island. The two units were perfect for our group. The units were clean (thank you susan and brian) and had everything we needed in the kitchen.   I stayed in this property several times over 20 years ago. I enjoyed my previous visits and recently rented it again for its great waterfront location. Was I surprised to find nothing has changed in 20 years! The carpet and furniture were basically the same....with 20 years of dirt, wear and tear. The exterior looked shabby and badly needs painting. Silverware was rusted, plastic furniture, windows would not close completely. Furthermore the management company neglected to tell us of a major construction project on the seawall generating loud noise, a city water project which shut off the water and a house across the street under construction providing more noise. Waterfront cottages on Balboa Island sell for 4-5 million dollars. I cannot believe an owner of such a valuable property can let it become so shabby and still rent it to affluent vacationers. Therefore, I do not recommend this property unless you wish to experience a "Four Million Dollar Dump" on beautiful Balboa Island!
