Upon entering, you'll feel transformed to another time by Yale's signature sloped vaulted ceilings, tongue & groove pine walls, Norman-style interior doors, and wood-carved niches. This home features many upgrades while maintaining the intrinsic essence created by Yale. Italian Carrera marble kitchen countertops, a 6-burner Viking range, and double-paned windows are just a few notable enhancements. The dynamic master bedroom suite features a fireplace, large LED TV, and deck with spiral staircase that leads to a luxurious rooftop deck featuring lounge seating, a gas fireplace, BBQ, sink, and fridge. The comfortable living room also features a fireplace and large LED TV equipped with Apple TV.   We love this house. We have been coming here for many years and it feels like home. It is so comfortable and clean. The outdoor eating area is perfect for our family, and we love the roof-top patio, especially in the evenings as we watch the sun set. The kitchen is well equipped with all that we need to prepare home=cooked meals; and the washer and dryer conveniently located in the 2-car garage.
  Above all is the location - it is the Best.

  What a great vacation. There was something for every member of the family and our day-visitor friends to do.   The experience was great! The children and grandchildren thoroughly enjoyed the beach on the bay. The beach was clean and raked each morning, and the water activities were all relatively safe. Walks along the bayfront early mornings and evenings were wonderful, as well as the Balboa Bars and shopping on "Marine." The rental home suited our needs quite well and we will certainly return next year. Shannon and Hunter at Abrams Coastal were efficient, professional,and a delight to work with.

  This is our second time in this historic home that we've dubbed, "The Shire." We love the character and warmth of this home. A few minor improvements could be made. The upstairs bath/shower combo (not the master) does not drain. This was true last year and this year. So guest, had their feet in ankle high water when they showered. And the latch on the dutch door was loose/broken last year and remains the same this year., This didn't affect us, but I'm sure it's an easy fix that should be addressed so the entire latch system doesn't just fall apart and pieces get lost. To the owners, we say, "Thank You" for sharing your lovely home with us!

  We loved the location of this house, being a block away from the bay and about 3 blocks from Marine Ave. It was a 15 min walk to the Ferry, which was manageable.
  
  The house was in great condition and had a wonderful Viking oven. We utilized the beautiful rooftop for dinner and relaxing. Another key perk was the Nest controlled A/C.

  We've vacationed on Balboa Island for many years in many lovely cottages, but this was the best! Beautifully appointed, especially the master bedroom, and plenty of room for a family of 10 to enjoy, with multiple patios as well as the great rooftop deck. This home is also close to the beach so the kids were able to swim, paddle board, and play in the sand right at end of our street.

  Beautifully restored historic home on Balboa that was perfect for our family vacation. Four bedrooms, one being a bunk room that could sleep 4 kids, 3 full bathrooms.
