  We stayed on Crystal street during an unusual weather week, strong winds and heavy rain. The weather conditions caused a couple of small problems, window banging and water came in under the front door. Other than that the stay was great. Steve is apparently very busy thus hard to get a hold of.

  Our property was clean and well stocked with very clear directions about garbage removal and when not to park in the street, though there is a tidy garage for parking too. It was close to the canal walk and Marine Ave, the retail heart of the island, but is nestled in a quiet corner of Balboa Island. It is a healthy walk to the Corona beaches too. Loved it.

  A wonderful property. Quiet with all the amenities anyone could need. Well appointed, comfortable bed, well stocked kitchen. The only thing I would be careful about is the spiral stairs up to the top floor patio. (Which is great!) If children are in the mix, it could be a problem. Just my opinion tho!   My experience did not disappoint. This was my first experience with a VRBO and I wasn't sure what to expect. The Property Management Company, specifically Hunter and Shannon were more than responsive to my requests. The home is extremely clean. I can't say enough about the home itself. The owner's son, Bobby was staying in the front house equal to my stay. (He left a few days prior.) He paid attention to every detail of the experience to make sure I was comfortable. This is only one example as there were many. I had to get my car from the mechanic. I was happy to ride my bike. It was sprinkling that day so he offered to take me. I was incredibly touched by his efforts. He understands "5 star" and wants to make sure the guests have the best possible experience. I won't ever forget Bobby's kindness or my time at his family's home.

  We were fortunate to book 219 1/2 Crystal at the last minute for our stay in the Newport Beach area. We lucked out with this great unit! It was bright and clean and perfect for our group of four. Balboa Island is lovely and we enjoyed the shops and restaurants on Marine Ave., which was an easy walk from the unit. And I was introduced to the Balboa Bar, so delicious! It was an easy drive to the beaches and to the Disney parks. Lots of conveniences nearby, yet you feel so removed from the daily grind. Would definitely recommend this location.

  We loved staying on Crystal street! The apartment is well appointed with all you need for a vacation stay. An easy walk to the main street means coffee, food, boutiques and the famous Balboa Bar are just minutes away. The property is well-maintained. It's super fun to take advantage of all of the shopping (Fashion Island/South Coast Plaza), beaches (Newport / Laguna), shows (Segerstrom Hall / Pageant of the Masters) and then come "home" to a quiet island retreat. Balboa Island is a must-do!

  I moved to Southern California last September. I stayed in a winter rental on the island from September to May. I rented from Coldwell banker. Wow complete night and day with Abrams. Joe at Abrams was great. I called because my new place I was moving into was two weeks behind so I needed a place to stay. He sent me a couple links within my price range and I found a place within 12 hours. So much relief especially since the company I rented from for the entire winter never returned my calls. I went to Abrams he went over the entire contract in person made me feel very comfortable and at the end no surprises! Again, I can't say the same for Coldwell banker on the island. My entire contract was over email and at the end they took out over $350 for professional window cleaning and overall cleaning. ( the place was cleaner when I left then when I moved in ) Abrams charges you a flat cleaning fee of $75 regardless of length of stay. Balboa island is a great place to stay I recommend Abrams for your renting and buying needs over the rest!
