Welcome to Seahaven! This wonderful Bayfront home has been owned by the same family for generations. A truly special location on the corner of Collins and South Bayfront with an oversize front yard, lush tropical landscaping, and a sweeping green lawn. Spectacular views from the yard and second-story balcony. Two bedrooms with sleeping accommodations for 6 people (2 Queen size beds and a full-size sofa pullout), 2.5 baths, one-car garage, and one-car parking at the curb cut out. This home is located directly on the boardwalk. The front yard is incredibly unique among Island properties.

WEEKLY: $2,800—$5,040 • MONTHLY OFF-SEASON: $6,500

  It was excellent. Beautiful views of the harbor. It was great having the front yard to sit outdoors. The people at Abrams Coastal Properties were great. They came out quickly when we had problems with the garage door opener and T.V. Great having a garage to park the car in, also the parking area next to the house. All appliances worked fine. One suggestion would be to have window coverings on both of the sliding doors. We hope we will be able to stay here again.

  We’ve always admired this charming cottage over the years and finally had an opportunity to stay on Balboa Island (we used to live in the area). It is immaculate, a glimpse into a time we thought had disappeared and a wonderful place to watch passersby. You can hear seals barking, the fog horn and The Wedge going off. We did not want to leave.

  The house was perfect for our smaller gathering of family. I was surprised it only had two bedrooms but sleeps 7. I'd say it sleeps 5 realistically. While bathrooms are compact and kitchen is old school, we loved the charm and the front lawn...well that is rare and wonderful. We brought our corn hole game and had a blast relaxing by the bay! Just a note that while everything was super clean, the dishwasher does not work. We just washed dishes by hand. No big deal. We will consider renting it again next Thanksgiving, if available.

  This house was perfect for our one month stay. It was clean and fully stocked with anything we needed from beach chairs and towels to kitchen small appliances. We ended up eating most of our meals on the upstairs balcony because of the fabulous view of the water. It was in a great location, just minutes to the Ferry and a short walk to the main street.
  We had to call the Rental Management Company because we had an issue with the barbecue and they were very accommodating and resolved our issue right away. The staff was great to work with.

  This is the second year in a row we’ve rented this property. It’s a charming “cottage” with a lot of history. It’s old but has lots of character and is very clean. I’d recommend having screens on the bedroom windows so the flies don’t come in when the windows are open. No air conditioning. Very well located! Close to the ferry to be able to enjoy the Penninsula, too, and the restaurants over there.

  We had a GREAT stay at this home. Not only is it an ideal location, the house was filled with historical photographs and books which was very helpful to get an insight of the island.
  The grass yard made a nice area to relax outside. A 5 minute walk to the Main Street for shopping & restaurants was nice too. We highly recommend this house for a rental at Balboa Island.

  We were very disappointed upon arrival with a dirty home. We had to wait two and a half hours to move in. Not a good way to start the vacation. We've been staying on the island or peninsula for summer vacations since 1980 and have not experienced this before.   We had a great time in Balboa for our June experience. The house was conveniently located as a matter of fact, it was perfect. Although the house is very outdated and could use some updating, it had everything we needed. It was very clean. The yard was the best part. Fun to sit out there and visit with people as they came by...weather permitting. Cloudy and cool this June. There was an issue with the neighbors doing construction on their house the whole 2 weeks we were there. We did not have any notice that this was going to happen and purposely did not rent a unit next to any construction. The neighbor was a very nice guy which we chatted with during our stay but getting up every morning to pounding and guys all around is not how we had planned to spend our quiet 2 weeks on the island. Fixing my breakfast in the kitchen with construction guys right out the window (no shades) and only a couple of feet away. The houses are VERY close together.

  This is a wonderful place to stay. We loved the house, all the woodwork inside along with the great paintings. The house was well equip. The kitchen was great will all the amenities one could wish for. Sitting in the upstairs room in the morning watching the sunrise and al the activities of the rowing crew were fun. We enjoyed walking the boardwalk around the island every morning. We are renting it again next year

  My birthday celebration at Seahaven on South Bayfront was a month I will cherish. The home is truly a historic treasure, from the original paintings and pictures, to the library of books and antiques. An island original that has maintained it's Balboa charm. From Halloween through Thanksgiving I was blessed not only with fabulous weather, but with an amazing property on the water. I was so proud to share it with my friends. Sitting in the front yard to watch the sunset was a daily event. We all agreed that the downstairs dining room with the fireplace made our dinner parties warm and cozy. After dinner walks around the island to enjoy the lights and holiday decorations was enjoyed by all ages. A common stop on those walks was at Dad's for a Balboa Bar. Then upstairs to the family room and balcony to watch the boats on the water...lovely! Thanks so much for making this property available to island lovers like me! :)
